injection molding china

what is injection molding and how do we do it in China?

Injection molding is a process in which solid thermoplastic resin pellets are melted, injected into a mold, and then cooled back to a solid state in a new form.

here is a break down of the process:

Here’s a more detailed breakdown:

  1. 1. Melting:Solid thermoplastic resin pellets are fed into a heated barrel where they are melted into a fluid state.
  2. 2. Injection:The molten material is then injected into a mold cavity under high pressure.
  3. 3. Cooling and Solidification:The molten material cools down and solidifies within the mold, taking the shape of the cavity.
  4. 4. Ejection:Once solidified, the part is ejected from the mold, completing the process.

During both the injection and cooling stages of the manufacturing process, there are several factors which will affect the quality of the final product as well as the repeatability of the manufacturing process.

First is the part design

Following a few important guidelines during part design will help minimize problems during molding and in the field. Although it is not always possible to follow all of these guidelines, outlined on the following pages are some of the most fundamental recommendations when designing parts for injection molding.

seconds is the tooling or mold design
